Return Policy

At ACE Building Supplies, we stand behind the quality of our products. We understand that project requirements can change, and we want to ensure you have the right materials for the job.

To maintain our high standards of quality for all customers, the following policy applies to all returns and exchanges.

1. Standard Returns

  • Timeframe: Returns are accepted within 30 days of the original purchase date.

  • Proof of Purchase: A valid original receipt or invoice is required for all returns and exchanges.

  • Condition: Items must be in original, resaleable condition, unused, and in their original unopened packaging.

2. Non-Returnable Items

To ensure the safety and structural integrity of the materials we sell, the following items cannot be returned:

  • Custom Orders: Any items specially ordered for your project (e.g., custom-sized windows, doors, or non-stock lumber).

  • Perishable Materials: Opened or damaged bags of concrete, cement, mortar, or grout (due to moisture sensitivity).

  • Cut Materials: Any lumber, trim, or wire that has been cut to a specific length at the customer’s request.

  • Clearance Items: All “Final Sale” or clearance items are non-returnable.

3. Lumber & Plywood Returns

Lumber is a natural product sensitive to weather. Returns on lumber and plywood are subject to inspection. Materials that have been exposed to rain, excessive moisture, or have become warped, soiled, or damaged on the job site will not be accepted for return.

4. Restocking Fees

  • A 15% to 25% restocking fee may apply to returns of bulk materials or large quantities that require significant labor to put back into inventory.

  • If we are required to pick up a return from your job site, a delivery/pick-up fee will be charged in addition to the restocking fee.

5. Refunds

  • Credit Card/Debit: Refunds will be issued to the original method of payment used at the time of purchase.

  • Cash: Cash returns over $100 may be refunded via company check or store credit for security purposes.

  • Store Credit: We are always happy to provide store credit for future purchases.

6. How to Start a Return

  1. In-Store: Bring your materials and receipt to our yard at 511 Christina Cres, Windsor.

  2. By Phone: If you need us to pick up a return from a job site, please call us at 548-332-2911 to discuss the associated fees and scheduling.
